FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. What kind of films do you make?

We make commercial films for businesses to help them sell their products and educate their customers about their company.

2. How much does it cost to make a video with Creative Muscle Studios?

It costs some money 🙂 . Film production is expensive not because filmmakers try to make money off you, but because it involves some real expenses. Professional film production is way more than just a man with a camera. You usually get what you pay for. The lower your budget is, the less fancy your final product will be. The higher your budget is, the better your final product will look, sound, and engage the audience because your director will be able to spend more time planning and calculating every single detail of your film for you, invite a bigger crew and get better technology and equipment to make your production better.

Because Creative Muscle Studios wants to provide every customer with the best services possible within their budget, we provide them with a detailed personalized quote based on what their requirements and expectations are. They know exactly what they pay for and what they get on the budget provided.

Just so you have some numbers, films can be made on budgets from as little as $1,200 to as high as you wish to go. For example, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides had a budget of $378.5 million. So, if you’re looking for something similar to that, then that’s the price you should be willing to pay. Now, this might be a little out of your pocket (or maybe not), so you name us the budget you’re looking to spend, and we tell you how we can help you. And keep in mind, the higher your budget is, the fancier your production can get. We can’t tell you the cost of your production until we know exactly what type of film you want to make. Email us or fill out our contact form, and we’ll get in touch with you to prepare your free personalized quote.

3. How long does it take to create a film?

Good films take time. The same as with the budget, it depends on what exactly you want. A simple 1-2-minute low budget testimonial film shot with one person in one location can take just a few days, but a higher budget commercial with a storyline, locations, and actors can take weeks and sometimes even months to plan, shoot, and edit. So, again, we need to know exactly what you want, and then we can estimate for you how much time it will take. So, email us! We like emails!

4. What does a film production involve?

Okay, here’s quickly about how films are made. The actual details of this process vary based on the type of production you need, but these are just the basics of it.

There are 3 basic parts for each film production: Pre-Production (planning), Production (the shoot itself), and Post-Production (editing).

Pre-Production involves planning a budget, writing a script, creating a shot list, preparing all necessary documentation and permits, hiring crew and actors, location scouting, set design, costume design, preparing equipment, planning shots and camera movements, rehearsing with actors, creating shooting schedules, etc.

Production involves getting everyone involved in the shoot together at the location at a set time with all the equipment, props, costumes, makeup etc. and shooting the scenes while making sure everyone is safe, fed, warm, that there’s a bathroom around, and that everything is happening on schedule.

Post-Production involves reviewing all the footage, choosing the best good takes, cutting them into a sequence, sound sync, color grading, creating and applying all necessary visual and sound effects, creating or finding royalty-free music for the project, fixing visual and audio transitions, making sure all the parts work well together, rendering a final project file, reviewing, making corrections, fixing errors, and rendering again if needed.

5. What kind of clients do you prefer?

We prefer the kind of clients who understand how much is involved in professional film production and respect and appreciate the whole process.

6. How quickly can we see an edit?

It depends on what type of project we’re doing for you and on our current waiting line of clients. For a simple low budget testimonial, you might see a rough cut within a few days. For more complicated projects it takes longer. Also, ask us about our Priority Editing option.

7. Can I have music and voiceovers?

You absolutely can! We can have a professional voiceover recorded for you in any type of voice you need. And we can add royalty-free music and sounds effects to your video as well. Just tell us what you want!

8. Will I be able to see and make changes to the film before the final product is delivered?

Yes. We will send you a rough cut, and you will be able to request any changes. However, we do limit the number of re-edits, included in the contract.
